Yinzhi Cui

Ph.D. NORTHWEST UNIVERSITY

Yinzhi Cui is a Ph.D. Candidate in Chinese Neolithic Archaeology at the Department of Archaeology, Northwest University (China). Her research interests include the history of archaeological thought, field archaeology, burial ceremonies, pottery typology and function, plant use, and alcohol in prehistoric China. Now she is exploring the subsistence strategies and social rituals from the Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age in Gansu and Qinghai areas. She has fieldwork experiences in Henan, Shan-dong, Sichuan, Gansu, and Qinghai, including survey, excavation, pottery categorization, and sampling for starch analysis.
